Bollywood's Best Friends

Each one of us, yes, even the lonely nerds, has had a best friend in their life sometime or the other.
And our B-town residents are also normal human beings, atleast in this aspect. Although it is much harder to find true friendship in the tinsel town, some have managed to hold on to their BFFs. Here’s the list.
1. Aishwarya Rai & Sanjay Leela Bhansali
This actress director duo has been the best of friends for the longest time. They have hit movies like 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Devdas' and the critically acclaimed 'Guzaarish' to their credit. They are said to share a bond so strong that, when talking to each other, they don’t even notice others.
2. Kareena Kapoor & Amrita Arora
While two actresses can barely stand each other in this industry, these two share an intimate bond with each other. They are BFFs in the truest sense of the word. They have supported each other through heartbreaks, happiness, rough patches etc. Kudos to their friendship!
< 3. Karan Johar & Shahrukh Khan/b>
This friendship has remained rock solid since the time it ever began. They have never hidden their mutual love for each other and have worked in some of the greatest hits ever. There were rumors earlier that both were in a relationship but even that did not faze their friendship even a shade.
< 4. Gauri Khan & Suzanne Roshan/b>
They are credited with starting the first wives club in Bollywood. One of the main reasons they bond is that both of them know the pressures associated with being a star wife and thus become a shoulder to fall back on for each other. This duo has taken their friendship to another level by collaborating on the professional level.
5. Deepika Padukone & Shahana Goswami
This isn’t the most publicised or popular friendship but has been going on since a long time. They have remained friends since the beginning of their careers and do a plethora of activities together like scuba diving, hanging out etc. They don’t even shy away from showing their mutual love for each other on Twitter.

These tough guys have been friends for ages now. They share common passions like bodybuilding, helping newcomers etc. They also hosted 'Big Boss 5' and their camaraderie was for all to see.
< 7. Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar/b>
These friends own a production company together and are best friends in real life too. They have grown up together and have remained with each other through thick and thin. Both of them are known to direct & produce trendy and young films.
8. Juhi Chawla & Shah Rukh Khan
Juhi & Shah Rukh share a very warm friendship. Both have been friends since the early days of their careers. But their friendship hit a rough patch when they became partners in their production company. But after realising that business and personal life shouldn’t be mixed, they opted to keep their friendship intact and parted ways professionally, and now their bond is still going strong.
In today’s world when friends are few and strangers are many, it is important to keep the ones you cherish close and avoid misunderstandings. This is a fact that our stars have also realised.

Bollywood Khans and their Hindu wifes

From a rich girl marrying a poor boy to the modern eras’ Ishaqzaade’ who are ready to die in each others arms rather than getting separated in the name of religion, these love sagas are endless. Here's a look at the real life ‘Ishaqzaade’ of Bollywood, who married outside their religion and are living happily ever after.

1. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Chhibber.....Nobody comes close to our King Khan when it comes to his real life romance with wife Gauri. The actor won Gauri’s heart, but just like a typical 90s masala film had the whole family ‘brigade‘of Gauri, against their marriage. But at last, this Dilwala took the Dulhaniya away and are now a blissfully married couple.
2. Irrfan Khan and Sutapa Sikdar.....Parent of two, Irfan and Sutapa have been married for more than a decade now. Their love story began in Delhi during their days in NSD (National School of Drama).
3. Fardeen Khan and Natasha Madhvani.....Once a heartthrob of many girls, Fardeen Khan married his childhood love Natasha Madhvani in a typical grand ‘Khan’ style. Natasha is daughter of yesteryear actress Mumtaz and Fardeen, as all know, is a son of late veteran actor Firoz Khan. This marriage has a ‘Picture Perfect’ plot of how children of onscreen lovers (Mumtaz-Firoz) fall in love with each other in real life.
4. Zayed Khan and Malaika Parekh.....Moving on the footsteps of his cousin Fardeen Khan, Zayed Khan, also married his high school love Malaika. Zayed was more than happy to say ‘Mai Hoon Na’ to Malika’s parents, when they began looking for a guy for her.
5. Sohail Khan and Seema Sachdev.....A Muslim guy meets a Hindu Girl, but their families refuse to this marriage. What Next? Yes, straight out of a Hindi film, they elope! This is exactly what Sohail did; he eloped with his love Seema apparently on the day when his directorial debut ‘Pyaar Kiya to Darna’ starring his brother Salman Khan got released.
6. Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora.....Unlike Sohail, Arbaaz did not elope with Malaika, rather, like an obedient son-in-law agreed to Malaika's mom and had a Church wedding with his girl.
7. Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor.....I know I get no eyebrows up for mentioning this one. This Bollywood Shaadi was like a National Issue in our country about which everybody knows, all thanks to Media! So, not a word more on this Couple, Let’s move forward.
8.Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao .....Love for Cinema is what brought Mr. Perfectionist close to his wife Kiran Rao and his decision of 'second' marriage seems to be getting ‘Perfect’ results for this couple.
9. Imran Khan and Avantika Malik..... They lived together in Los Angeles (when Imran was taking formal acting training), they had known each other for 10 long years and since then nothing has changed between the two of them. Oh yes, one thing they are now happily married.

World of casting couch in Bollywood.. in pics

James Burke reveals the murky world of casting couch in Bollywood!
There have been fleeting evidences of this dark practice in B-town. But what you see here might shock you
In the recent past we’ve woken up to Payal Rohatgi accusing Dibakar Banerjee of making an indecent proposal while casting her for Shanghai. Then there was news about a starlet called Preeti Jain being raped by Madhur Bhandarkar. While none of these stories could be confirmed, it’s no hidden truth that the casting couch is part and parcel of life in Bollywood.
And, guess what: B-town’s history of indecent proposals dates back to – hold your breath – 1951! For all those who are wondering if it’s true, take a look at the gallery below.
These pics taken by photographer James Burke for Life Magazine are of director AR Kardar of Kardar Productions, who has movies like Shahjehan (1946), Dillagi (1949), Dulari (1949), Dil Diya Dard Liya (1966) among others to his credit. And here, apparently, the director is taking a screen test of new girls for his movies. Sigh. And a look at them surely makes you wonder what criteria the girls are supposed to satisfy to pass the screen test!
